Shoab A. Nazir, MD, FCCP, FAASM in Oklahoma


Dr. Shoab Nazir in OK has been providing care for more than two decades and has been a well-established Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine physician in Oklahoma City. Dr. Nazir completed his medical school requirements at the prestigious Madras Medical College in Chennai, India. He did his Internal Medicine Residency at the Yale-New Haven Hospital St. Raphael Campus in New Haven, Connecticut, and completed his fellowship training in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.


Dr. Nazir served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, Arkansas from 2005 to 2009. He also served as the Director of the Sleep Disorders Program of Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, and as the Associate Program Director of the Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. Currently holds a faculty appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.


Since 2009, Dr. Shoab Nazir continues to be affiliated with several hospitals in Oklahoma City including the Oklahoma Heart Hospital, Oklahoma Heart Hospital South, Mercy Hospital South Campus, and SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital – Midwest for in-patient care. He also actively practices sleep medicine and is affiliated with many sleep labs in Oklahoma City.


Dr. Nazir is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and a member of the American Thoracic Society. He is married to an Ophthalmologist Dr. Sayeda Nazir and they have two children. He enjoys photography, cooking, traveling, and gardening.

Katrina Pyle, APRN-CNP in Oklahoma


Katrina Pyle is from Ardmore, Oklahoma and has been practicing as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner specializing in lung and sleep disorders since 2017. She graduated from East Central University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, and worked as a Critical Care nurse taking care of some of the sickest patients in the intensive care units. Katrina then obtained a master’s degree in nursing as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with dual certifications in both family care and adult-gerontological acute care from the University of South Alabama in May 2016.


Katrina thoroughly enjoys educating her patients and developing a lasting relationship with them. She finds it rewarding to see patients at follow up visits and hearing about how their symptoms have improved. While not at work, Katrina enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, and playing with her daughters, Brooklynn and Brynlee. Christy Covington, APRN-CNP in Oklahoma


Christy Covington is originally from Fall River, Massachusetts but grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma. She has been practicing as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner since 2021 after completing a master’s degree specializing in Adult Gerontology Acute Care from Graceland University in 2021. Prior to that Christy obtained her bachelor’s in nursing from Oklahoma Panhandle State University in 2014. Christy has over twenty years of experience as a nurse and has worked in a multitude of areas including critical care, hospice and oncology.


Christy enjoys educating her patients and collaborating with them to reach their healthcare goals. She has two sons, Xavier and Jalen. She is also a proud mother of a Havanese named Osi. When she is not working, Christy likes going to OU and Thunder games. She also enjoys traveling, reading, and trying different restaurants.
